Ian, Yours is not a pathetic list. Some great ideas on there. Just pick one and forget everything else.

The first time I tried that method of blogging I think I got about 15. It takes practice to spin idea of that.

Hang on to your list. You will be surprised how you will add to it in the next few months.

I think that your emphasis on following your Step-By-Step course in a methodical and disciplined way is going to be one of the hardest pieces of advice for students such as myself to follow! There are so many distractions, so many excuses to skip steps or to put something to one side "for later" and to never return to it, so many excuses to lightly read the lessons and simply not carry out any of the tasks nor put any of your advice into practice. Your course may be simple and aimed at beginners like myself but I am already seeing how difficult it is going to be to even complete these simple steps without effort and determination on our part. I guess I had better stop staring out of the window daydreaming and stop wasting time checking my emails every five minutes and start getting down to my lesson! Oh dear… what have I let myself in for! Perhaps I had better do a quick google for articles on self-discipline (says Ian as he soon becomes distracted away from your course yet again!).

Although currently just on Step 5, staring disheartedly at my pathetic list of only about a dozen "areas of interest" and realising what a depressingly narrow and limited existence I lead compared to your other students who seem to produce lists of 50 or 100 interests with ease, I hope that "difficult students" such as myself can stick-it-out and gain the concentration and determination to complete your excellent course and achieve the successful results your course is worthy of.

Keep up the good work,
Ian
